It was a lovely plan. The had it all worked out. A move, an adventure, a new experience.
They were riding high on the wave of good intentions, footloose and fancy free when BOOM! Out of nowhere they were thrust off of their feet and onto ground by an unseeable force of nature.
Try as they might, there was no way to get past it. They were stuck in perpetual hell. They were trapped by THE GREAT WALL OF DOOM!
Bringing down our walls.
Most of us have encountered this wall before. The one where we have a clear idea, a sense of direction, forward momentum, but those around us have other ideas. They aren’t on the same page, or sometimes, even in the same book.
So when we want to change, they see it as a threat and construct a wicked wall of resistance with the hope of preventing us from advancing with our change. The harder we push, the stronger the wall seems to get.
Sometimes what we experience in our outer world is a mirror to hidden beliefs in our inner world. So when we smash up a against the Great Wall Of Doom, one way to gain progress is to ask ourselves where are we might personally be resisting our big goals and plans?
While we might want to move forward on the surface, something deeper within us could have different plans, or fears.
Until these issues are excavated and addressed, it is likely they will continue to create barriers to our achieving our dreams or plans.
Have a safe and enjoyable Halloween and thanks for reading!
